20/20: day 7, flash mob!

 this was one of those wasn't-quite-awake-when-i-dressed-myself days (what was i thinking?? and yet i'm still posting it for all to see...!). i woke late (thank you jason!) and with not enough time for a shower before our big event. i'm a can't-get-my-day-started-without-a-shower kind of girl, and i almost NEVER go out without one. a hat was my one remedy this day, and i tried to hastily put together an outfit that matched it from my ten pieces left at the end of the week... not so successful.

what was i heading out the door for in such a hurry, you ask? a flash mob! ok, i'm not really sure it can be considered a "mob", and it was sort of anticlimactic 'cause the sound system at chick-fil-a that we were expecting to use was broken... but we danced and sang and had fun (all 7 of us ;). the occasion was that my sister won "the golden ticket" last week, and she had to claim it by saturday. but she didn't want to just walk in and say "here i am" - oh, no - this sister who has spent the night in chick-fil-a parking lots to win free food, and has made two previous youtube videos featuring chick-fil-a - she had to do something FUN! so 20 minutes before the event, we sloppily choreographed a little flash-mob-style dance to "I've got a golden ticket" from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (one of the four movies we owned when we were kids, so a song we knew well ;) i'm sure jenna will be posting it on youtube and facebook soon! and i will be sure not to link you to it! ;)


the outfit:
dress: anthro; slip, vintage, thrifted; belt, thrifted (yes, this is different than the leather strap i used with this dress earlier in the week); leggings, ross; shoes, ross? long time ago...; hat, forever 21; hairband on wrist as my only accessory (like i said, i wasn't fully awake!): goody ;)
