spotlight two: buttons and lace ring

the outfit: skirt (last seen as shirt here), thrifted; top: ross; belt, "handmade" from costco apple juice toppers (last creation from those here), vest, thrifted (as a sweater... and then shrunk and felted, some fingerless gloves cut off and turned into a vest... the vest now no longer exists as of yesterday, since i cut it up to make some legwarmers! :) gray flip flops: old navy; and ring: handmade

so my second spotlight item here is this lovely ring, made from two overlapping buttons, some jewelry hardware, and a little lace (never complete without that final touch ;)

here i'm walking off down the train tracks to disturb some white doves
(to see if we could get them flying in a shot - see the last two :)

this reminds me of one of the songs i sing to my boy every night before bed:
"White Dove, Fly High" by Casting Crowns. check it out - it's SO beautiful.
one of those songs that i can't figure out why it stirs my soul so much, since the lyrics are not overtly something i see as meaningful/resonate with me. but oh, the music! just lovely voices... God's beauty.
